    Regret a Pump?

I regret buying a pump with a polysulphone head. Broke off one of the hose fittings, but was able to epoxy it back on. Then managed to break it again, only this time it shattered. I don't have the funds for a new head at the moment, so no pump :( Will be buying a stainless head soon. (and...

    just an observation....

Underage drinkers usually drink the cheaper stuff like BMC. They are also more likely to be inconsiderate, disrespectful litterers. Just my $0.02

Has anyone used the weldless element enclusure from brewhardware.com?

I ordered one a couple of days ago. Was going to go the gang-box way, but couldn't find one that I liked at the big box stores here. Thought about getting the "Hot Rod", but decided I wanted it permanent. Also thought about getting the solder-on triclover fitting style, but was too cheap, so...

    Calculation of ABV

Brewer's Friend also has this estimation calculator: http://www.brewersfriend.com/refractometer-calculator/ That gives a final of 3.29 Plato, with an ABV of 4.45%, the VinoCalc referenced above gives 4.3%, both very close estimates. If your hydro reading was just 1 degree off, with 1.047 OG and...

Are home brewers a "threat" to commercial brewing?

More like saying having bake sales is a threat.
