    Champaigne corks?

    I've been doign some reading and some people just crown cap the bottles. Would an O2 reducing crown cap with wax hold up? I hesitate to buy a corker, but maybe the LHBS could lend me one...I'll have to check.

    I have some rasberry ginger mead that I intend to age for a long time and was wondering if the plastic champaigne style corks are good or a bunch of crap for aging. I'm up in the air about sparkling vs. non at this point.
