    advice on kits?

I bought a Coopers Micro-Brew kit, has all the equipment needed (including bottles) plus all the ingredients for your first brew. The kit has a 30 litre primary which means you can brew the full 23 litre brews that the ingredient kits are designed for and still have head space for the fermenting...

    Saying Hi.

I admire people like you... as I said in another post I am always arseyboo... My friend and I saw a home brew kit and I thought "cool, I'm gonna give that a go". I took it home, mixed the brew, stuck it in the cupboard and THEN came to this forum to find out how it's supposed to be done! lol...

    Bottling Bummer

Stop procrastinating! When you're waiting four to six weeks before your beer is ready to drink you're going to regret not getting started sooner. :)

haha, and now to spoil it all... I'm vegetarian... I don't eat anything that has/had a face! I couldn't stand to torture a poor wee fish and then eat it... My best friend loves fishing though and she has a motorbike, want me to hook you up? lol

    rum anyone?

Quick question before the door is slammed shut on this thread... just to clarify, is it illegal to make home brew spirits of any sort in the US?

haha, you twit... The one in the wardrobe is from the Coopers kit, holds 30 litres total, so lots of headspace for a 23 litre brew. The one on the bench is taller and thinner, you're right, that one I got from my local paint shop (I discovered yesterday that they stock a few home brew...

    Proper (belated) intro with photos...

haha, the pics of me are in the bottom of my wardrobe where they belong! As this is my first time brewing and because I bought a Coopers Micro-Brew kit, I have a Coopers Lager in one primary and a Coopers Draught in the other. I will become more experimental as my courage and experience...

    When to add the fruit?

Oh fantastic... can't wait to try it... will wait until I've tried a few "plain" brews first before messing with it, but I love the idea of lemon flavouring in it... thanks!
