I have heard of people storing grain in a tight sealed containers. Applying a small layer of C02 blanket on it before sealing it. Thus, they can not breath in the environment.

Using a rolling pin or empty beer bottle.. This will get the grains crushed enough to brew with. This would also be a good time to think about biting the bullet and purchasing your own malt mill.

Are you priming the bottles individually or batch priming. I have good results with batch priming versus priming each bottle.. Also, are you using a no rinse sanitizer?
