If the "cap" on IBU is around 100 then I assume it may be impossible for them to get enough bitterness into the 120 to balance out how much sugar has to go in to get it to 20%. I also agree though, I found the beer near undrinkable when we got one for a friends bachelor party.

Terrible. I can drink about a half of one if I've had 3 or 4 very hoppy beers beforehand and kinda kill my taste. I think I'm going to keep them around and open one up every time I consider buying Nottingham yeast.

My messed up batch was also edwort's haus pale ale. Our resulting beers could be twins. Exact same color and clarity. I hate to tell you but a few weeks in the bottle didn't do much to improve mine.
