How do you do a full boil?

I used this as close as I could, but modified based on what was on hand: http://beerrecipes.org/showrecipe.php?recipeid=102 so I had: 5 pounds, golden light DME 2 ounces, roast barley 8 ounces, crushed crystal malt 1 ounces, Fuggles (loose) 2 ounce, Goldings (loose) 1/4 ounce, Goldings...

How do you do a full boil?

Oh, now I notice people mentioning that you have to change the hops if you do a full boil; I didn't do that. We shall see what I get.

Any good ideas on what to do with steeped grain?

Chickens definitely go crazy over spent grains, if the batch I dumped on them from a partial mash is any indication.

What pocket knife for brew day?

I always have my Leatherman Wave (current model) with me, so that's what I use. Pro-tip: Leatherman's warranty is great; my old knife started sticking, sent it back and the didn't just clean it, they sent me an entirely new modern version.
