I've soaked mine for a slightly extended time in PBW without issue. I had one on my last batches that had a very high and vigorous ferment causing kinda the same thing. Cleaned right up with a good soak. Did you do the PBW as per directions?

Not my first rodeo doing this. First one burned back to about an inch from outer frame. You just have to burn it in first before the first brew day. Next one is going to thermo coated as the shop I use just started using a high temp product

I guess I'll find out on the first brew day, but one of the local breweries is using them on their main brew system and for their all of their fermenter and glycol chiller controls without issue. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

I don't see oxidation as an issue as one of the byproducts of fermentation is Co2. This would provide a barrier for and chance of oxidation. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

Well, life got in the way for abit but I spent some time on the system this weekend. Got the control panel done on the water jet, bent and welded. It's 16ga aluminium that will be powder coated the same as the stand. Also started on the gas system.. More pics to come soon. Sent from my iPad...

I don't know, I have more than anyone else of these (10 right now) and somehow don't have any of the issues that some seem to be whining about. I have had as many as 6 going at the same time and love them. I have zero regrets about changing from plastic buckets and carboys and even went ahead...
