Question about fermentation with Jester King dregs

I know this is old, but just found it as I did my second batch of le petit a few hours ago and wanted to see what was on here about it. Did you make it, and if so, how did it come out? I did my first batch off dregs from noble king, and came out awesome. did a head to head and got 4/4 people...

    Wood-Aged Beer Pirate Strong Ale

I didn't for our last batch but likely will try that route next as you can easily titrate how much rum/oak taste you add to the batch by adding the rum itself. Just had one of the last few bottles this last weekend and it holds up really well. Pineapple fades but melds together nicely at just...

    Maximizing Barnyard/Horse Blanket

post your results as it helps us all. a 100% brett beer is not a horse blanket farm masterpiece, but will result in a relatively clean, slightly fruity beer. what are you souring with for those options you mention?

Kveik Barleywine - feedback and early results

Racked it to a carboy and put in the closet for now. Have room for adding a super hopped addition of water or weak wort. It’s strong enough that I’m not sure that adding any mixed ferm would really want to survive unless it got diluted down a bit. Some oak and Brett would be nice if I went the...

Hit a wall tonight (maybe before now)....

5 gallons would be the easiest way to drop the issues you mention. I never thought about this issue prior to starting brewing, but a friend I just introduced to brewing said the problem that frequent homebrewing is the accumulation of all that beer. You can give some away but you'll lose a...

    StarSan

Agree. I use a covered 5-gallon bucket and use it for 3-4 weeks, depending on overall use and what it looks like. I don't check pH although Ive heard the pH is the way to check it. It does get a bit cloudy as time goes on, and I tend to use that visual cue as a marker of when to pour it out...
