    WLP028 Edinburgh Under Attenuation consitently

I too find this yeast a lower attenuator, although I use it quite a lot as I do like what it does. I have a stout on at the moment that started at 1.071 and I think has stopped at 1.023. I did a 80min mash at 67C/153F. I have had beers finish lower with the same yeast when making pale ales -...

White Labs WLP546 Marañón Canyon Wild Cacao

I think treating it like a pale saison or Belgian for the first brew is a good start, and the way I intend to go, as it'll tell you what the yeast does on its own. Using it as the yeast for a basic kettle sour, feels like it could be another good option. Chocolate is a complex flavour, that...

White Labs WLP546 Marañón Canyon Wild Cacao

I've got a vial of this too, and I plan to get it onto some slants for safe keeping, and then some trial brewing. Personally I'd not expect chocolate from this yeast at all. Having been to a chocolate plantation, the first thing I noticed on arrival was a definite wild fermentation aroma which...

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

Thank you all for your help, especially b-boy for offering to re-ship it for me. I'd save a few bucks that way, but I think I'm just going to get Keg connection to ship straight to me instead. Thanks again.

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

Kegs are more expensive here. Refurbed from a shop they're at least $75. So $40 to bring a keg back to life is just about worth it. From a private seller you can get them cheaper, but there's not many around.

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

It's $14 shipping to the UK (seems standard). The problem is then at the UK end you get charged 20% tax AND then £8 (about $10.30) by the delivery company for the joy of collecting that fee. Any good souls here? :D

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

Thanks for your help guys. Looks like I'm stuck ordering a $12 keg post and then paying $29 in shipping and UK import taxes if I want to use this keg.

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

Aww. I know the item is meant for a sanke coupler, but I hoped the 5/8" thread on the Firestone liquid side would match.

Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

Hi everyone. Long time lurker (Ive learned a lot here!), first time poster on HBT. I came into a bunch of kegs recently, and there's a single Challenger VI that is missing a liquid out post. It seems like there's no spare posts for Firestone kegs anywhere outside of the USA/Canada, and I am...
