Also note that your vessel will only drain to the level of the valve unless you have a hose on the outlet lower than the bottom of the vessel.

You can also use a bicycle pump on the hose barb of a ball lock gas disconnect. That is what I use to push sanitizer through my kegs out post.

I use one of those as a fermenter. I put a 2" tri clover cap on it with a hole drilled for an airlock. I have another blank cap I will eventually modify for perssurized transfer.
