Escape from Stuck Fermentation Mountain - AE to the Rescue!

Ok. I'm on the band wagon. Four weeks ago, I did an ipa which finished much higher than expected- 1.080. Used wlp008 with a healthy starter. Got about 72% attenuation so it's down to 1.023. It's done. (It was actually at 1.030 about a week and a half ago. So I tried to rouse, warmed it up to...

13 days of dry hop too long for Zombie Dust clone?

Though I have never tried it, and I hate when the second post to a string starts that way.... I have heard great things about starting a dry hop in the primary when the beer is still fermenting. The co2 allows the aroma to stay and it limits the introduction of oxygen. I don't think 13 days is...

    Anybody up for a riddle?

None. You didn't say the kittens cats wives and sacks were going to St. Ives. You only saw this crew as YOU were going.

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

Yes. My collection ball clogs. I dry hopped an IPA then cold crashed. All those hopes caked into the FF cone and wouldn't drop out. The barb for the racking hose was too small. I ended up using my siphon to transfer to the keg.

    Suggestions for IPA.

I kinda figured he had the hops on hand. Every now and again you have to see how hoppy hoppy can be.... It's worth the investment

    Recipe Advice

Looks really good. I think you'll be happy with it. Will you post back with your dry hops and how it turned out? And how did you get my mom to brew this. She won't help me! Cheers

    Suggestions for IPA.

Bitter with warrior. It's nice and clean. Maybe .75 ounce for 60 mins. Then..... This is where you have to trust..... 3 ounce each of simcoe and Amarillo at flame out for 30 mins. Stir every five mins. Drop the temp to 175* and add 3 ounces each simcoe and Amarillo again. Step for another 30...

This is exactly what I would do so +1. All of my IPAs are steeped with flameout hops. I Just started doing it that why and I will never go back. Lots of hops. Lots of flavor. Nice advice.
