    It was going to be a mango hefe but I agree I think this could be interesting. I think I'll leave it, not sure how long in primary or secondary but i'm going to stick it in a closet for a few months.

    Lost a magnet in the drain, it somehow came apart in the trap, not sure how but i dump some pretty hot water down that drain. Wasted 10 bucks, why are they 10 bucks? Gees.

    1 to 1.5 min with pure oxygen through a airation stone thats been boiled.

    There's no real need for it, as long as the wire is rated for the amp load of the breaker.

    Marzen still fermenting after a month

    WLP820, started at 54f but after 3 days of no activity raised to 60f for a few days then dropped back to 54f. OG was 1.05. Theres still some activity, bubble every min or so I would guess. Just didn't know if I should leave it at 60f until I hit FG or to drop back down to 54f.

    I way under pitched a Marzen and had slow start for fermentation, actually had to raise them temp to get it to kick off. Its been sitting for about a month since then, just did a 48 hours diacetyl rest, was going to transfer to a secondary today but checked SG first and it was still 1.026...

    Anyone mix polyclar in primary then diacetyl rest for 3 days then rack to secondary or should I wait till the end of the secondary before kegging?

    Sounds good, i'll keep the honey at flame out, going to ditch the oak chips i think, going to do a bit more reading. As for the hops, that was in the recipe but for myself, i was thinking 2 weeks in the secondary.

    I swirled them both yesterday for a good couple of minutes and got some airlock activity today. Going to raise the temp regardless for a couple days then drop it back down as suggested. Does doing this cause any off flavours or should a good diacetyl rest before the secondary help?

    I took some SG readings, not much has changed. The Marzen had maybe changed from the OG of 1.05 to about 1.049, hard to tell. The Pils is about the same, OG 1.042 is now maybe 1.040 but again when its that close its hard for me to tell if its actually changed. No krausen no air lock activity...
