    2 empty CO2 tanks in2 weeks

Yeah, ill be trying the spray and bubble method. The posts were only hand tight so it may be there. I have what appear to be extra nylon washers. The directions I got from Kegco were crap. Any tips on where they should go? I tightened all fittings tonight with a wrench. Do you guys think it's...

    2 empty CO2 tanks in2 weeks

Ok so I recently got a new Kegoco 2 tap kegerator. I've got one used 5 gallon keg from them and a brand new 3 gallon from northern brewer. Set everything up, kegged beer, set pressure to 15psi. Next morning, CO2 is empty. Weird part is, neither keg has any pressure once I open pressure relief...

    Bottle some keg the rest?

Ah forgot to add that. Will be adding a cinnamon sugar mixture after fermentation. So I can tack 3 gallons onto campden and sorbate and then rack the other 2 gallons into the bottling bucket to be bottled?

    Bottle some keg the rest?

Hey guys. So my new two tap kegerator is getting delivered on Monday. I've got a 5 gallon batch of Carmel cider going and I want to keg 3 gallons in my 3 gallon keg and bottle the rest. My problem is I want to bottle carb the rest and stove too pasteurize. How do I got about stabilizing 3...

    Skeeter Pee

It could take up to 48 hours. Relax and have a drink. A shake wouldn't hurt, this stuff loves O2 in the beginning.

    light sparkling cyser/ale

Looking good. Yeah, at 8% you'll want to wait at least a month. What did it taste like at bottling?

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

After aging 7 months...wow. It appears my pasturization didn't kill all the yeasties as I had a very minor gusher. Thankfully, gushed right into the glass and didnt lose any! Still slightly sweet though...tastes like an amazing apple pie! No heat at all obviously and the apple flavor is really...

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

I used 3 cans of concentrate but everything else was the same. Turns out I bottled this batch on October 1, so it's almost 7 months aged!

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Amazing! Smooth, kinda sweet with a touch of twang on the back end. Started the next batch right after bottling. Can't wait to bottle my dragon fruit green tea batch on Wednesday!

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Just bottles 6 cups of jasmine rice with red yeast rice added. It also happens to be my last day of law school classes (and all classes ever)! So on that note...cheers!

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

Before adding the aj concentrate did you kill all The yeast either via pasteurization or chemicals? If not, and it doesn't sound like you did, fermentation probably started back up and ate all that new sugar you just added. So long as fermentation has stopped again, I'd kill the yeast and...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

How long did you age it for? With time, you get more of an apple-y taste

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Fortunately, myself and my two roommates were out of the kitchen. Found a chunk of glass about 10ft from the stove! Everyone is pretty mad since my roommates tasted it and loved it. Will be making my next batch Thursday after I pick up some of the RYR from the store. Thanks for the tip again and...

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Well I bottled this today. Wow, better than I could have hoped for. Sweet with a nice burn. Bottled it in a liter swing top and pasteurized and...the whole bottle exploded. Needless to say, I've never been more upset about anything related to brewing.

Ah awesome! And I'll actually be heading up to Paramus next weekend. Do you happen to know the name of the place? Thanks for lookin out!

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

I'm pretty sure heating the PET bottles to the necessary point for pasteurization would cause some pretty crazy deformations in the plastic and possibly even melt it.

    Skeeter Pee

Bottled today. Wow this stuff cleared amazingly...almost looks like water! After killing a 24oz mason jar worth and I'm feeling pretty good! Slightly lemon tart but also sweet...great stuff!! Cheers!
