Which commercial pumpkin beers actually contain pumpkin?

These are the only two I have had from that list. I'd say Shipyard's is much better! I was NH last year, wife and I tried it. I'm not much of a pumpkin ale lover, but Shipyard's I liked!

    What's your favorite drive-through burger?

Only thing around me is Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King. I don't like any of them. I'd have to say In-N-Out was by far the best fast food burger I've had. I visited San Fran two years ago.

Smuttynose Brewing Old Brown Dog Ale Clone

I think Smutty OBD is one solid beer and its my favorite brown ale out there. I might have to re-think my brewing plans and try making this...

    Anybody mix AG with extract?

If the kit contains hopped LME, I'd follow the extract recipe. If not, I'd do a partial mash and use up the kit ingredients...definitely don't let it go to waste!

questions about brewing AHBS Pumpkin Ale

I put the spices in with 10 minutes left. I'm not really sure what time the spcies go into the boil will affect the flavor. I did it this way with my last year pumpkin and everyone said it was good, so I figured why mess with it. Maybe someone else can provide reasoning for the time the spices...

    Suggestions for Belgian beer tasting?

Rare Vos - Ommegang Its an American company, but they're really good. Around here, a four pack is ~$9 or its sold in the 750 mL bottles. Its not too strong in alcohol. The other one I think of is Orval. But that I've only ever seen in singles for like ~$4 a bottle and its a 330 mL.

What books are you guys/girls reading?

The Dark Tower series definitely had its ups and down. There was some boring/useless parts in books 5 & 6, but overall I think it was good.

Stoudt Fat Dog & Abita Amber Tasting

Last night I tried Stoudt's Fat Dog and Abita Amber. I've had them for a little while and finally got to try them. I thought I'd share my findings... Soudt's Fat Dog - Imperial Oatmeal Stout Poured as a super dark/pitch black beer with a very little tan head that receded leaving a small lace...

Cisco Brewery, Winery & Distillery. They have a nice courtyard where you can buy beer, wine or spirits, after sampling them, and hang out and drink.

What books are you guys/girls reading?

I just finished 'Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal' by Chris Moore. I loved this book, I'm inspired to read more of his. Started 'Cell' by Stephen King...it was a birthday gift. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with it. I like King, but some of the last ones kinda...

Looking for a good brew book

+1 on Radical Brewing. Very easy read with lots of info and recipes. I flew through it. Designing Great Beers by Daniels took me a lot longer to get through, but it has all the nuts and bolts for the major beer styles...

    Gluten-Free Imperial Cream Ale

Definitely keep at it though Brewpastor!! I was unhappy about my GF brew turn out, but my friend with Celiac's likes it. She has thanked me so many times for brewing it for her. I may not like it and it may not be the best brew around, but it gives her some homebrew to enjoy without getting...

+1 on TIME. I know its hard to wait, but if you have a couple of brews in the pipeline or already made, then it won't be so hard...

    Help with sorghum brew/slow ferm.

I meant to ferment as normal and move to secondary for clarifying. That didn't happen based on timing of things. It sat in primary for three weeks. Overall it was a very light beer (body, color, flavor). Not bad but not great.
