To tell you the truth my first home brew is in the second ferm and I never have tried one but I drink Sam Adams Boston Lager and I drank New Castle before. But all beer has a similar effect on me.

My wife gets angry at my beer farts. I can't help it at all. I rip some ultimate nast but I think they are funny as hell. Anyways is it just me or does beer make the majority sing out? If so what beer is the worst?( not in tase or enjoyment, but in rank gas.) Thanks in advance

I appreciate all the good answers. I guess the glasses are smaller like 9 ounces from what I read so that makes much more sense.

I have read that a 5 gallon batch needs around 48 bottles give or take but also read online that a 15 1/2 gallon keg holds around 200 glasses. My question is is, if there are 15 1/2 gallons in the keg why would it make 200 glasses than 140-150 or so since 5 gallons make roughly 48 12 ounce beers?

I bought a DME/LME/ Steep grain kit with the gear. Its really an ale but the shop owner said its suppose to be a okctoberfest/marzen style. I figured I wouldn't jump too far in with a lager right off the bat.

First post and a long time reader. I got the start up gear and brewed a Märzen about a week ago. My SG was 1042 and checked it today and was 1010. I went ahead and moved to the secondary and it looked and smelled great. Took pics and will post after I bottle in a couple of weeks.
