    Keezer Build

Here is the coffin so far. My LED lighting will be coming tomorrow. I am using a RGB LED tape light sold through home depot. It allows you complete control of the color and has a dimmer...

    Keezer Build

I ordered my freezer today. It is a 14.8 cubic foot maytag from Home Depot. It will be delivered next saturday so I will be building the freezer support with caster and wood paneling around it. I am going to use 4'x8' sheets of a stain grade birch to encase the freezer in...

    Keezer Build

I am working on designing my keezer build in google sketch up, and hope to get it under way this weekend. It is pretty much a clone of Willisbr's keezer build. So far here is what I have. There are a couple changes I am going to make in the construction of the base and frame, but they are pretty...

    Pumpkin Spiced Ale

I brewed this recipe twice last year and it turned out really well. I actually did another 5 gallons last night so I have 10 gallons fermenting.

    Pumpkin Spiced Ale

Its about that time of year again! I brewed another 5 gallon batch of this yesterday so it will be ready for Oktoberfest. I can't find any pumpkins yet so I put two pounds of pumpkin puree in the boil in a steeping bag.

    Pumkin Porter Kit

I recently made a pumpkin spiced ale that can be found in another thread. I used 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp all spice with 10 minutes left in the boil. I just racked it into a corny keg for conditioning and added another 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp all spice. When...

    Anyone bought this drip tray?

How is the quality? Does it seems durable and does the stainless look good?

    Anyone bought this drip tray?

Has anyone bought this drip tray before and if so what do you think about it. http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=142 I would mount it on the front of my refrigerator. I was thinking I would run the drain back into the fridge and have a collection bucket inside to keep the...

    starsan with kegging equipment

I just cleaned my keg, beer line, shank, and faucet. I ran starsan through everything at the end to sanitize it. I won't be using the kegging equipment for a couple more weeks so I was wondering if it is ok to leave starsan in the keg and beer lines for about a month.

Glycol Pump for a 12 foot rise from basement keezer to living room tap?

Runningweird check out the glycol/beer line combos that kegman offers. http://www.kegman.net/products/4-Product-2-Glycol-5%7B47%7D16-id-Trunk-Line-%252d-6834.html

Glycol Pump for a 12 foot rise from basement keezer to living room tap?

I am interested in this as well. My only concern is what happens to the beer that is in the line when the keg runs dry? Shouldn't the beer come through the line fine as long as the keg stays pressurized? The distance I am looking to run means there will be 1.4 gallons of beer in the line at any...

    Rustic Porter Idea

That sounds pretty interesting. I am interested in what that will end up tasting like.

    Pumpkin Spiced Ale

I ended up adding the spices with about 10 minutes left in the boil. It smelled amazing! I will also probably a little more to taste at bottling/kegging time.

    Pumpkin Spiced Ale

Craig, How did adding the spices directly to the pumpkin when you baked instead of to the end of the boil turn out? I will be brewing this recipe tonight for the first time.

    is it infected? version 9654654.11

Thanks for all of the quick replies everyone. I transferred it only 6 days in and i knew there was a little bit of fermentation left. The OG was 1.062 and it was down to 1.020 with the FG supposed to be around 1.017. I am glad it is good because it smells great! It is now 11 days into...

    is it infected? version 9654654.11

Another posters recent photos made me a little concerned. Is this just a lot of yeast or does it look infected? This was built up in my fermenting bucket about two inches thick. I was originally thinking it was the "foam" from a strong fermentation, but when I transferred it into the carboy it...
