12 oz. amber glass "No refill" bottles

I have some bottles like that and have refilled them a number of times. Nothing adverse to report other than severe emotional problems, slurred speech, and blurred vision.

    making hooch(jail wine?) please help

I would suggest that you add fruit to it like lemons or maybe some kool-aid to at least make it somewhat drinkable. Good luck!

    Draft brewer system help

The first thing you need to do is take it apart and clean everything. After that, you'll probably understand exactly how it works. There are plenty of YouTube videos on the subject that might help.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I went to the LHBS today and picked up the grains for a recipe I concocted myself and have made once before that I call Maris Citra. As the name implies, my base malt is supposed to be Maris Otter. Well, the LHBS was out of it, so I'm going to try it with pearl malt. I really hope it's...

    Getting into kegging

I personally would go with new kegs. Adventures in Homebrewing has the best deal at $75 per keg. When I started kegging I bought 2 used kegs and it was a huge headache finding and fabricating parts. Also, I would recommend buying Perlick faucets; if you don't now, you will later. And you can...

    Ritebrew Extract Kits?

Definitely off topic, but did you notice the price on the Perlick 650ss faucets? What a great price. I ordered 2.

    Low flow from tap

The last time I had low flow from my faucets my lines were frozen and had to move them to the front of my kegerator.

    What does your LHBS charge?

    I had to compare as well. Phoenix LHBS as follows: Maris Otter - $1.69/lb 11¢/oz 8lbs 12oz = $14.84 Flaked Wheat - $1.59/lb 1lb = $1.59 C60 - $1.69/lb 1lb = $1.69 Carapils -...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

I use 2 parts Oxyclean Free, 1 part sodium metasilicate, and 1.3 oz per pound citric acid (I have hard water). It works as well for me.

The activation code is all you need. I think Birdman Brewing sells it $18 or $19. The computer version is great.

    DFW Breweries

I went to Deep Ellum last month when I was in Dallas on business. The atmosphere was fantastic and the beer tasted great except for one. Definitely pass on the Double Brown Stout. Being the lush that I am, I drank the entire glass, but it tasted like rubbing alcohol and was a little concerned...

    AEB Keg Sale + 5 Gallon Giveaway - Kegconnection.com

I didn't contact customer service because I only paid like $36 w/ shipping and I never got around to breaking it down until last week. I will spare the details of what I found on this forum and apologize for the "cheap shot," especially without contacting customer service first.

    AEB Keg Sale + 5 Gallon Giveaway - Kegconnection.com

I'm in. Winning would make up for the unusable keg I got from Keg Connection on a Black Friday deal.

Cornelius Keg with ball lock not letting the beer out

It should release co2. I would check your connections and make sure they're all the way down on the posts.

Cornelius Keg with ball lock not letting the beer out

Try lowering the pressure in the keg using the pressure relief valve.

    Co2 vs glycol

Glycol is used for cooling. You still need co2.
