    Yeast recommendations

You should try WLP013 London Ale Yeast to your IPA if you want add some complexity to your beer. It doesn't flocculate like US-05. But it does clear up nicely with a little more time. You have the right idea wanting to experiment with different yeasts. It will take your brewing up a level.

All-in-ones - the future of homebrewing?

I don't want something to brew for me. If I did, I'd just buy beer at the store.

Lawyers (or anyone knowledgeable): Legal question concerning LHBS!

I prefer to drink beer while eating pizza.

Is $59.95 shipped to cheap for a reconditioned Keg?

You might want to check AIH http://www.homebrewing.org/Home-Brew-Kegs_c_223.html They have used pin locks for $34.99+shipping. I've bought new ball locks from them and shipping was only $9 per keg. I personally don't care for used kegs because I have a few that I can't get parts for a...

    Drinking my first home brew.

Congratulations! I'm sure your first homebrew will taste even better with more aging. :mug:

    Should I drink it now

It's probably carbonated. But a beer that big might need some aging to reach its potential. I made a 10% Belgian quad last August and the flavor is still improving.

My Wife Is Sick Of Me

I knew absolutely nothing about kegging when I started. So I bought a two tap kegerator ready to use. It works great. But if I could do it all over again, I would definitely build my own. If you read prior threads, you will find all the information you need. Take heed to the advice about cheap...

    Pilgrimage to Belgium

A visit to the Scourmont Abbey in Chimay would definitely top my list. What could be finer than drinking sacred beer and eating divine cheese made by trappist monks at the very place it is produced? I understand the tour, which is available in English, is quite an experience.

    1/6 th kegs

North American Keg out of Clearwater, FL quoted me $72.00 per 1/6 barrel with very reasonable shipping. I know little about the company or the quality of their kegs. I opted to go with Cornelius style instead since they are more accessible.

How often do you guys brew?

I typically have a brew day every 3 weeks, but it has been 5 since I last brewed. My inventory is still fine with one full keg of an English bitter, about 1 gallon of an amber ale, and another keg with somewhere near a gallon left of a Scottish strong. Between being out of town and a few...

Corny Keg the rubber is breaking down

Where to drill holes in a chest freezer?

I can't cite the source, but I read somewhere that you can make a vodka/corn starch slurry, spread it across the area to be drilled, and the lines will become evident.

    Almost done with school!

Congrats! :mug: It's been longer than I care to admit, but seems like only yesterday. I was so happy when the end of my college days were drawing near. Then the opportunity for grad school came around...

    Bag squeeze gravity test

I concur with your conclusion and only squeeze the wort out of the grains to hit the proper volume.

LHBS (when your LHBS Stinks and it is time to walk away)

Agreed. He's an extract only brewer with no knowledge of AG. He does, however, sell some of the equipment; I doubt much gets sold. He's the perfect model on how not to run a LHBS.
