    Easy BIAB recipe

Binder clips are an awesome idea! Why haven't I thought of it? :drunk:

    Efficiency problems.

Yeah, that's pretty low. Was the grain adequately crushed? If so, then it is either a pH or volume issue. The preboil gravity is important. If your mash efficiency is high, you can add more water. If it's low, add dme.

    Kegging First Beer Tomorrow

I set my regulator to 30 psi, sit on a chair and "rock" the keg for around 5-10 minutes. Then I let it sit for an hour or two, check the carbonation, and repeat if necessary. You want to err on the side of caution; don't over-carbonate. I usually stop burst carbing a little low and finish off...

    Kegging First Beer Tomorrow

I'll be kegging a black ipa in a few hours. Since I have room in my kegerator, the burst carbonation method will be used. I will be drinking it tonight. :rockin:

Is this a good crush for BIAB (1st time)

I don't think the crush looks that bad. If you make an effort to control your pH, it will be fine. I keep reading all these biab threads about flour. Why bother using a bag at all if you're going crush your grains to dust?

    C02 Pressure

I have a carbonator and definitely wouldn't trust it enough to put 30lbs of live CO2 on it for a week. The thing doesn't even have a rubber seal on it. All you need to do is refrigerate it, set your regulator to to 20 lbs, shake vigorously for 20 seconds, check carbonation, repeat if necessary.

    Perlick flow control backwards??

I'm pretty sure mine only work one way.

My Perlick 650s open towards the shank. Is that what yours do?

Making a Cornelius Keg Dip Tube

Even if you could find a tool to make a usable end, I doubt you could make one cheaper when factoring in the cost of the cost of the tubing and the tool. They are only $15 at my LHBS.

    SS Brewtech

I have a few SS Brew Buckets and like them. But they definitely need a thorough cleaning before use. Just use a strong mixture of PBW and hot water. If I remember correctly, it comes with instructions to clean them.

I get Jewish dating online ads. Perhaps the conversion to Judaism is my destiny.

    Keg equipment – please advise

The basic kit isn't fine in my opinion. When I started kegging, I bought a complete 2 tap kegerator setup, thinking that the seller would know what I needed better than I would. WRONG. The first thing I changed were the beer lines. You should have at least 10 ft per line of 3/16" ID tubing...

Aerating Wort - methods, how to's, recommendations?

I aerate with O² and oxygenation stone only because I have a large oxygen tank for welding readily available. I once completely forgot to oxygenate and noticed no significant difference.

    Electric smoker?

I have a Masterbuilt electric smoker and I like it. The only complaint is the digital thermometer is way off.

Am I crazy, or is my neighbor?

I think you and your neighbor are both crazy. If your neighbor is worried about her privacy, then she can close her blinds. But having a swingset in your front yard is a lawsuit waiting to happen from an uninvited and unsupervised child getting injured on it. I bought my house not only as a...

    Methods for Removing Oxiclean Residue

I left Oxyclean and water in a keg for a few days once and the result was an awful residue. Citric acid took it right off.

HELP!!!! Building a walk in cooler

I think a 4" panel has an R-value of 26 which is the industry standard. Your unit will probably run quite a bit.
