First Brew Day Of 2013!!! What are you making?

Hey HoppyhoppyHippo... I hope you didnt use T-58 yeast on the Fat tire clone... If you did, better make that a cooler side ferment... like 64 degrees. Good gawd man, the T-58 is spicy. I cant drink any Belgians of any type now. I have some fattire clone in the fridge from several months ago.

Man! You guys are not loving s-04 like DR. Dre is not loving police. Sadly, I also don't care for 04. That's just me though. Not into beers with a fruity finish.

    excessive foaming

If your cheap plastic tap is like mine, make sure you are not partially opening tjhe tap while pouring. Pull the trigger full open or you will create a venturi effect. Use a rapid pull movement to full throttle. I pour at 5-8 psi. My set up is ball locks with 1\4 inch 3 foot delivery. Mine...

    Celebration Clone High FG

Hi. Just a quick thought.. Are you positive that the wort is not getting cold at night? Even one night of cold after the main ferment might have stalled the yeast. Winter has my fermenter a lot cooler than the summer. I have since install led a dual channel temp controller that operates a carboy...

    New years day brewing.

Nice pic. I was standing in my garage, in the cold, in a very similar fashion. I cant believe how much more propane I used in the cold weather. I want to do an ESB next.

Only 2 or 3 points off? You are totally fine. Well within range. I was expecting to see you report 10 or more off.

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

I am using a hydrometer. For the yeast I just pitched 2 packs. I tested some Sublimely self righteous the other day for FG and I came up with 1.014. I will try a huge wlp001 starter next time. Also a 90 min mash instead of 60 min.

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

Update: 4 days ago I installed a digital temp controler and a carboy heat wrap. Racked in to a secondary with most the yeast cake and set the temp to 70 in an attempt to roust the yeast. AND......... Nothing happened. I had even stirred the yeast up pretty good. Fg still stuck at 1.035. I am...

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

Thanks waddsworth. :) I know the mash temp was accurate for the entire hour. I have an infrared temp gun and I also used a standard thermometer and they matched. However, it is now winter in Sacramento and the fermenter has been cooler than all the summer time batches. I will leave the beer...
