    this may be a stupid question but why put acid blend in a must that is already highly acidic? i would think you might need to add a something to increase the ph not lower it more

    Paint strainer usage for biab

    i got a couple pack of those 5 gallon strainer bags from HD im having my cousin cut the seams on 2 of the bags and sew them together to form a bigger bag so i can do my frist biab ^^ wish me luck will only be my 2nd batch

    2 weeks in primary, still at 1.030

    if you have not repitched you can try giving your fermenter a gental swirl to kick up the yeast i have read that this works sometimes i have not tryed it as my frist beer(still in Prim) finished in 2 days @65 now its chillen at 61-63 for the remainder of its 2 week stay in the prim

    Carbonation and too long fermenting?

    take them out of the sun and put them some place warm 65-75 thats dark the sun will skunk the **** out of beer fast just like it will bleach hair and other items left in the sun to long opps miss read carry on ^^

    did you add yeast nutrients in steps? yeasts slow down in mead as honey has like no nutirent value at all so with out the nutes it can take awhile and could stress the the yeasties everything i have said if from reading not experiance so hope its correct and helps

    from everything i have read 3-4 lbs pf honey per gallon your mead is gonna be a super sack mead. those cloves you put 30 whole cloves?.. from what i have read 1-2 cloves per gallon as they will over power everything Fast keep in mind i have yet to brew a mead im just repeating stuff i have read...

    kefir is kefir you can use the grains in water or milk but when going from milk to water you need to run a few batches to clean the grains then your good to go
