Komos Kegerator Bites The Dust at 14 months

There is No shipping time by Ups or FedEx that takes 7 days inside continental US unless it is a lost shipment and then it would be indeterminate as it would be lost. I'll bet they don't have it in stock.

Conical owners - should I pull the trigger?

And with a non conical, i.e, plastic bucket, straight sided, flat bottom fermenter, you'll have a quart left on the bottom if the valve fails.

Conical owners - should I pull the trigger?

And you REALLY think anyone here would drink that swill? Just being a bit facetious...

Conical owners - should I pull the trigger?

Doogie, get it and ENJOY. I just bought a shiny albeit cheaper version, from Anvil for $240. I was tired of plastic and not being satisfied that the dang buckets were clean and truly sanitized. Conical is way too easy to drop trub out the bottom, and the lid comes off so you can see and...

New to kegging - need a little advice.

12 point socket isnt as common as they used to be. I bought one at home depot 7/8 fits the 12 point fitting and the beer side also. Heck even harbor freight only sells 6 point sockets. if a decade old, you need to replace those internal poppets and the inner tube orings, And the outer orings...

Komos Kegerator Bites The Dust at 14 months

You are just switching the line, not both the line and neutral. It's what the thermostat does. opens and closed line voltage so the compressor can run.

    Tri clamp tool?

I just got a 1.5 inch triclamp fitting and ring, it came with a silicone gasket that seems to be really good seal for this type of fitting. You might try one of those, but definitely shouldn't need a screwdriver to tighten enough to keep from leaking.

Komos Kegerator Bites The Dust at 14 months

More than likely, these are directly imported by Morebeer. And while not to hijack, I had poor customer service from them on my first order, free shipping was met, ordered with paypal and got email from them wanting $8 for shipping. Nope, cancel order. You obviously LIE on your website. No...

How many batches per propane tank?

Yep, $25 per tank 3 average brews, maybe. $8 to 12 per brew for gas. Nope, a buck or so for electricity for the Anvil.... And never an empty tank....

    Stout stuck?

I did almost the same recipe last weekend. Dry Nottingham, rehydrated and pitched at 78 and it was put in basement which was about 70. Kicked off well and good fermentation for 3 days and slowed down as temp went down. Basement is 67 due to cold front and fermentation slowed down to a crawl...

    Best Equipment for new brewers

There are a lot of podcasts out there. And YouTube videos of which some are mainly talk and surprisingly easy to stream with a phone. I'd for sure try and listen to some of these is you have a decently long drive. Been there and don't want to do again. 16 years of 60 mile one way commute at...

    Best Equipment for new brewers

A lot of good things here and a lot of way over the top for a beginner. You did good, buy a kit. and try it. If drinkable or not, buy another kit. I would go extract for a few brews, then get a bag and a few adjunct grains and. to partial mashes. If that is fun and you want to move to all...

    Homebrew Talk 3D Print Thread.

I had drilled holes in my mini fridge's door for taps a long while ago. In my return to brewing, I added a tower and 3d printed a set of plugs for front door, but then get the bright idea to just run the co2 lines through those holes. so I redesigned the hole covers to have a hole for the...

Anvil Crucible or SS Brewtech Chrinical

I work from home doing custom laser engraving and I've got a bunch of parts that take 40 minutes between changes and are metal so I can push the start button and walk off for half an hour. Easy to go brew while I do that, and laser just waits on me to do the next one.... Oh, I noticed one...
