You might also want to get a gravity assist by having the keg higher than the bucket.

    Anvil Foundry 120/240 adapter cable

Check this out. The inline GFCI he uses is no longer available, but someone in the comments had another source. I decided to replace my 50 amp breaker with a 20 amp GFI breaker instead, because 50 is way to much for the Anvil. Anvil Foundry 120v to 240v plug adapter DON'T CUT YOUR CORD!!

    Anvil Foundry 120/240 adapter cable

Oh, Duh! I thought it came with the 110v, and the adapter converted to 240v. Thanks, Tracer.

    Anvil Foundry 120/240 adapter cable

Yeah, but isn't it standard for the appliance have the male plug? My dryer has a male plug, and I'm pretty sure the last electric stove I had had a male plug. If I wanted to plug it in to my dryer outlet, I'd need a male to male adapter. Do people have male receptacles in their homes to plug...

    Anvil Foundry 120/240 adapter cable

So, I ordered the 10.5, and I'm prepping for 240v brewing. Watching their "New and updated Foundry" video on their website, it appears that the adapter is male 120v to female 240v. Can anyone confirm? And, isn't that backwards? shouldn't it have a male 240v plug to go into a female receptacle?

Turning your Fermonster into a complete closed transfer system for cheap!

Your Fermhead looks like what I was hoping this could be. I agree with your point of stressing the lid attaching to the ball locks in the original design. I went through some aggravation with that. The parts from the original design are no longer available. The first ball locks I bought had...

Turning your Fermonster into a complete closed transfer system for cheap!

I just saw these mini keg adapters with gas/liquid ball lock connectors. I can't seem to find the size of the threaded piece, though. I was wondering if they might work well with my original lid with a pre-drilled hole (If I could find a nut). Anyone have any experience with them?

    Is this Stuck Fermentation?

One point to add - as someone else mentiond, hydrometers are calibrated at a particular temperature. If you measured 1.051 O.G. at, say 80 degrees, and your hydrometer is calibrated at 60, you'd actually have a O.G. of 10.53. https://www.brewersfriend.com/hydrometer-temp/

    Fermonster for primary

Granted, the gasses will still want to mix. However, with a lid on tight and a bung and airlock inserted, I still believe it would be insignificant in the average time between fermentation completion and transfer. I certainly may be wrong, but that's my take on it. As for the transfer, I...

    Fermonster for primary

There's a great deal of pressure pushing that CO2 out. I would think that when fermentation is done, and the internal and external pressure are at equilibrium, there would be miniscule O2 coming in. Probably negligible compared to the O2 he'll get transferring.

    Fermonster for primary

Nice! I did one lid using Dgallo's method, but have trouble getting a good seal with the ball locks to the lid. How does yours attach to the lid. Id that a TC connector? What kind of gasket?

StarSan keeps eating thru my spray bottles

I switched to these and have had no problems. I had issues with other things (like homemade windows cleaner) gumming up the nozzle, so I got the 4 pack for about $13. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HJ7YTDH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Fermentation CO2 for purging serving keg

So, using CO2 from fermenter to force Starsan from serving keg. My question is, will the pressure involved suppress ester production enough to affect my IPA? Does anyone know how much pressure it takes to force the Starsan out of the keg?
