Any thoughts on the Beverage Factory

Bought a three-gang secondary regulator from them. Great price, quick shipping.

Amarillo Pale Ale with Amarillo hops only

I made an all-Amarillo IPA a couple of times and it was great. Going to make another with the rest of my Amarillo stock this weekend. I believe Rogue's Yellow Snow is an all-Amarillo recipe too.

    Carbonation Confusion

Nearly everything I've seen says at least 7 days for MINIMUM, maybe drinkable beer. Two weeks to start to get close to correct carbonation when set at serving pressure.

    All grain on a budget?

I switched from extract to all grain with "brew in a bag". Only new expense was a bag to hold grains. If you already have a large enough kettle, you'd only need a bag to try out all grain. I mash and boil in the same kettle and wrap the kettle with an old sleeping bag for the mash.

    Ethics of customer mailing lists

I don't have a problem with receiving a newsletter or other similar email from a company I've done business with in the past. If it's something I want to read I will. If not, it's one click to mark it as spam and never see it in my inbox again or unsubscribe via the included links.

    Help me understande CO2 Volumes

http://www.kegerators.com/carbonation-table.php The "volumes" are in the middle of the chart. Temperature along the left and PSI along the top. Find your beer temperature, and the PSI it's sitting at, and where they meet is the carbonation level in volumes. Table along the bottom shows...

    Whole hops?

You might be better looking into "hop utilization" as to why your beers aren't as hoppy as you'd like

Appartment size fridge...keep or get a full size?

Is the hump deep enough to allow two on there too? If you could get four kegs in it, that would be a pretty sweet set-up!

About to start kegging - debating 2 tap kegerator vs 3 tap keezer

I'm gathering materials for a four-tap keezer right now. My reasoning for going with four is: - One for a darker beer (stout, porter, etc ..) - One for a hoppy beer - One for a wheat beer - One for a lighter beer (cream ale, blonde ale, etc ...) That covers my tastes pretty well and...

    co2 regulator + secondary/manifold advice?

I picked one of these four-way secondary regulators a while back and have been happy with it. I was going to just go with a manifold off of the primary regulator, but am glad I spent the extra money to have the ability to adjust the pressures. A three-way with a splitter would have probably...

    Breakout Beer

My first "real" beer was a Summit Extra Pale Ale (from Mn.). At first, I didn't like it. Too piney, too citrusey, etc ... But strangely, I craved it later on. It was my first taste of a hop-forward beer and I was hooked ever since.

    PM vs AG

I do three-gallon, all-grain batches on my stove with the brew-in-a-bag method, so it is essentially the same method without adding any extract. I do the mash on the stove. I'm limited by my kettle size, and could do five-gallon batches by adding the necessary extract to the boil and then...
