    Mini-Keg coupler

Wow I was not aware that thing was so complex. That's really neat. Thanks!

    March pump SAE 20 oil

Also be cautious. Automotive oil is a detergent oil. You want a machine type oil like the 3-in-one.

    Change Collector

I'd be concerned about damage to the glass from the change getting dumped in. You may end up with a carboy that's ready to crack when you give it a dirty look.

    Mini-Keg coupler

That's pretty slick. Got a parts list and such. The tube only needs to be that short? I thought it had to go all the way to the bottom. Never messed with a mini-keg. edit: oh I see the hose goes to the bottom there.

    Mini-Keg coupler

Is there an easy way to modify the cartridge and spout to take 1/4" quick disconnects?

    Mini-Keg coupler

Is there a coupler for the little Heiniken style mini-kegs that would allow me to just plug into my current CO2 and taps? I know I could just get a Heiniken keg and use the pump, but The local Hombrew Shop has the little kegs and I'd love to do some small batch work with them but use my current...

Scored New SS Table. Need cleaning suggestions

You could give this a try DeLorean Motor Company - 9-2-0 Cleaning Supplies It's the same metal so it should polish out.

    425 Vs. 525

Thanks everyone. I'll grab two 525's then since I like the mechanisim more and they are cheaper.

    425 Vs. 525

I'm looking to get some taps for a party and eventualy my keg fridge if I ever get the nerve to drill a hole in it. I Know the perlick is the way to go but I'm not sure if I should get the 425 or the 525. I know the 525 has the nice new mechanisim, but I wonder if the removeable spout might be...

    What's your favorite Micro brewery.

Great Lakes Brewing Company. I'm a Lager lover, and with the pub exclusives to always have new things that's really all I'd need and all I had for a plenty long time. They haven't made anything I don't like (short of Grassroots in a bottle, just too weird) And It's an awsome company. And I...

    Alcohol content by state

Ohio has a limit of 12% ABV which sucks cause I wants me some Dogfish Head 120min IPA. Before 2002 it was like 6% and had goofy definitions of what was "BEER" I still think the definition sucks. I don't have that big of a problem with limiting Grocerystores to 20% ABV alcohol. But to be...

Basic Brewing: Low-Tech Lagering and Decoction Mashing

I just picked up a Sanyo 4910 from a resturaunt auction and a fermenter bucket, a carboy, or 2 cornys fit it fine. Just get one without a freezer box.

    First time Laggering in Corny

I've had an Oktoberfest I brewed in March Laggering in a corny keg and it's laggering period is just about up. The beer is for my wedding in September so Technicaly it's just going to keep Laggering. Should I shunt this into another keg to get it off the trub from laggering? Or should I just...

    10 c.f. freezer question

You could also Shunt the 1/2BBL to corny's But then you need 3 corny's.

    First Cider and First problems

Perhaps they just blamed it on Ohio to justify puting it in to stop the supermarkets from sending back fermented product (which the stuff would do if you looked at it funny) I'm not looking for super dry, 4-5% ABV would be fine.

    First Cider and First problems

Hello all, I have been doing some 5 gallon batch brewing since December with pretty good results. But hit a nice wall when I tried to ferment some cider through many errors of my own. First, the specs. I was using a local Fruit Farm's Sweet Cider which is Pasturized and has 0.1% Potasium...

What beer got you into this?

A friend of mine worked for a failed Franchise brewpub named for an australian marsupial back in 99-2000. He was good friends with the Brewer there and was moving from the grill line into being an assistant when the Brewer left after the company started making drowning noises. He outlawed...

    60 90 120?

I have to say the 90 is my favorite IPA. The balance is so refined, and I typicaly can't drink American IPA's, as the citrucy character seems to meses up my stomach. I hope to one day have a 120, but Ohio thinks Beer that strong will kill you or something.

    Beer Smith and overhopping

I did the Tinseth Calculation by hand and Beer smith ended up being off by less than 1 IBU. I used the Utelization Function Palmer suplies in How to Brew (Not the Chart) I had a 1.044 Boil of 3.5 gallons. 4.1 AAU @ 40min, 20min, and 10min. My math came out to 13.2+9.1+5.4=27.7 Beer Smith...
