    looks great. not that you would have it around but greenlee make SS hydraulic punches for all sizes. Sure they are not cheap but maybe a rental item.

    the wyeast website says to use a loose fitting lid or al. foil or something. Why not an airlock on my starter? Does yeast need the o2? I aerated fairly well. I LIKE BUBBLES!!:drunk:

    my LHBS told me I could not use my wort chiller as a jockey box because copper produces a off taste in the beer when chilled and ran through it. Also another question ...     clean fermentation... let me try my hand at this. Have you ever had a hef that tasted real strong of banana, clove etc? well that would be a example not so much clean fermentation. Where as a pyramid hef is cleaner. Clean to me means free of any strong "off" flavors. Maybe also "mainstream"...

    1st Time Pro-Am Experiences????

    Been brewing for 2 years hard-core all grain and am going to enter my IPA 7.65% into a competition. It's a $6 entry supply three bottles. My IPA is balanced, malty, hoppy, bitter and w/ pacman yeast overall in my opinion and alot of my buddies it GOOOOOOD! 15 oz of hops for 10 gal. But anyway...
