Placed an order today for a Colorado Brew Systems 15 gallon electric brew in a basket setup , should have it in three weeks . Got a 10% HBT talk discount as well , which is nice
While it looks nice I dont see the point in spending the money . My 10 gallon igloo mash tun will loose no more than 1 or 2 degrees in an hour provided i preheat
Just bottled a black IPA after Two weeks , maintained 65 degrees the whole time . I use a five gallon cooler hall filled with water with half gallon jugs for ice I re freeze . Once its at temp I swap ice jugs twice a day

I will be going on vacation and would like to brew and bottle prior to leaving . I will be making a MO/ Citra smash which calls for dry hopping . Based on my timeframe I was considering doing a hop stand rather than dry hop , what do you think . Thanks !
Pat
The kit should have come with priming (corn)sugar and directions . If not you can google for specific details , but you will be boiling the sugar with water and adding it to your bottling bucket prior to racking the beer into the bucket.
Did my first all grain brew today ( dead ringer ipa ) and the OG was a bit low at 1.055. The recipe called for the OG to be 1.064 . What effect will this have on the final product ? thanks
