This seems to be the place for help on "brewery" names...

The Sam Adams idea is cool. I could go with my favorite person from history and call it Thomas Jefferson, or Tom Jeff for short.

    My (FINALLY) finished keezer!!!!

Thanks. I think the hardest part is going to be finding a piece of furniture that will actually work for me. I've been scouring craigslist but I haven't found anything that would even be close to working.

I've got a few more idea for a name. My nickname is college was BAM. I could go with BAM Brewery and do a cool vintage Batman-style onomatopeia logo a la: My real name is Justin and I'm 6'4". One of my favorite web comics has a new recurring character called Tall Justin. One of my friends...

First brew - Irish Red Ale kit - fermenting temp question

I did the tub of water/towel method last night and checked this morning and the temp was under 72º. I'll put a fan on it tonight to try and drop it a few more degrees. I'll let it sit in the primary fermenter for 3 weeks. Should I increase the secondary fermenter time or will two weeks be fine...

    My (FINALLY) finished keezer!!!!

This is fantastic. I'm going to now be on the lookout for a similar piece of furniture to try and duplicate this. I have no room for an actual kegerator but something like this would be perfect for our house.

    Hey! New brewer in Cincinnati.

I think there was about a gallon and a half of space in the fermenter. It's a 5 gallon batch. Should I do the secondary fermenting in a 5 gallon or 6 gallon carboy?

Haha, that is actually one of the name ideas I have for the red ale. Red Stocking Ale or Redlegs Ale.

I just brewed my first batch of beer last night so I need to come up with a brewery name, right? My wife suggested the most obvious name, "Breen Street Brewery" based on our street name, but I'm not 100% sold on it. A little about me for some possible inspiration: Born and raised in a...

First brew - Irish Red Ale kit - fermenting temp question

I brewed my first batch of beer last night, an Irish Red Ale kit from Midwest Supply. Everything went well with the brewing process. I transferred it to the primary fermenter (plastic bucket) and took it down to my basement. The temperature seems to range from 73-75º, though. Do I need to figure...
