I would clean it too, since the CO2 cusion will refill when you seal it back up.

It may become oxidized, but theres alway the chance it won't. I would proceed as usual ans see how it is. If it turn out ok that is good, if not its a lesson learned.

The bottling wand does work. When you remove it the head space is just right. I have a batch to bottle soon as well.

I use Homebrew4less in Chambersburg Pa. I found them to be cheaper on most things, but I do not mail order. I pick up from the store so I do not know what they charge for shipping.
