I was a fan of this hop when I tried it about a year ago. I really don't feel like it ever got the attention it deserves. As a matter of fact it only comes up less than 10 times in this thread. Glad someone else is on it.

I need to try Pacman again. When I tried it in a clean ale, I swore I got a bit of a mineral note / tang from it. There's also the strong possibility that that note came from somewhere else in my brewing process. Have you noticed this as well?

Can you point me to a post of yours with the recipe? I did a single hop with 2019 Riwaka and it was underwhelming. Maybe I can put the remainder to use with your recipe where hopefully the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Why bother purging with CO2 at the prior to fermentation at all? The volume of CO2 produced from fermentation is very large in comparison to fermenter volume at the homebrew scale and you should almost be guaranteed to be left with a 100% CO2 headspace after fermentation is complete.

I believe that's it. WLP will be releasing in the Oct-Nov-Dec rotation. I'm going to try it as well.
