    working on my logo

I think it looks good, but I would make the neck area the same color. The white looks super out of place and detracts a little. Just my .02

    Homebrewing from the ground up

Nothing good can possibly come from this thread. -a self admitted underage kid looking to brew something he can't even drink legally -a little self righteous sh*t attitude You're gonna get torn to shreds if you keep it up kid. You're looking for advice? Every person in this thread has offered...

    Glue for labels

When I label, I use regular printer paper (11x17 to get the most per sheet) and use milk. Have yet to have an issue with the ink running. I just put milk on a salad plate and put half the label on top of the milk, put that side on the bottle first, and then kinda squeegee the milk onto the other...

    Pacman harvest

They don't use pacman to bottle. They add a champagne yeast at bottling. So you are correct that you can harvest from rogue, but you're not harvesting pacman. I think the exception to that is Shakespeare stout. May be one other that you can get pacman from, but not sure

    Hello from Orlando!

Good luck. This hobby is addictive. You'll soon want extra buckets, and before long you'll want to make the jump to all grain. It's a wonderful hobby. After your first brew, when you know the basic process and start learning why you are doing what you're doing, it becomes one of the most fun...

    Caught in the Act

8 years ago at a fraternity retreat in a huge cabin out in the middle of nowhere complete with 40 bunk beds we were all hammered. Before I passed out I drew a map in my head as to how to get to the bathroom. Well when it got dark, I couldn't see a damn thing. First trip, I pissed all over the...

    Moonshiners on Discovery Channel

Yea, "moonshine" can be bought in the liquor stores in Tennessee. It's legal 'shine following popcorns recipe. It's toned down a bit. Not as high proof as the illegal shine, but worth a taste for those that dont have access to real 'shine. As far as the show, I'm interested. Real, or scripted...

Brand new "the complete joy of homebrewing" by papizan. Started reading it, and I much prefer Palmer. If you want it, it's yours.

How many beers did you drink in one day?

Yea, during college I did the 30 pack challenge on several occasions. My buddy and I killed a handle of beam in a few hours one time as well. It seems like since I've been brewing, I don't drink much anymore. If I get a 6 or 12 of commercial beer, it'll be in the fridge a month. Last night I...

My equipment list! What am I missing?

After a cold night of brewing, pretty much everything that would make life easier is already in this thread. Good luck man.

My equipment list! What am I missing?

+1 for vinator and the biggest bottle tree you can find. Alright. Off to grab food and prepare the all grain brew night. I'll report back

My equipment list! What am I missing?

It's only 25 feet. Which aren't very effective in a full boil. It'll cool, but it'll take longer than a 50 foot. Plus, copper is a way better conductor. And they say copper is good nutrient for the yeast. So with a 50 foot copper one it cools better and quicker, and provides nutrient. Go with...

My equipment list! What am I missing?

It just happened to me on Saturday. Opened up my star San bucket to sanitize my fermentor and there it was. Totally forgot about it. Which means there's still oxyclean in a fermentor I was cleaning when I put the tubing in the starsan. Damn. Oh well. Hey OP. don't leave your vinyl tubes in...

My equipment list! What am I missing?

50 feet should run you about 55-60 at home depot. Add 10 for the hose, clamps, and fittings, and you're still way under what you would spend online for a 25 foot premade chiller. If you want to do it right and ensure you don't have kinks, a pipe bending set is 8. Still way cheaper. Also, it's...

    Sam in Western Massachusetts

Also, you don't want to boil the yeast. You can just pitch the dry yeast directly into the COOL liquid, and it will go to work. If you want, you can rehydrated the yeast prior to dumping it in, but that is not necessary. This just allows for the yeast to repopulate and start reproducing prior to...
