What would be a good price for this stuff?

I would check if the pot is S/S, if it is snatch up that and the temp controller you need. If you want an extra chiller or don't want hassle of building one, get one of those also. Don't take it all, if you don't need it right? Seems like you are set with keezer and dr. pepper fridge, etc.

What would be a good price for this stuff?

The brewers edge temp controller II is basically the Johnson controls or ranco one "rebranded". It alone sells for $110-ish new on some HB sites... I think Walker is on the right track though. If youcan get it all for $200 major score, if he considers that a lowball and offend him, oh well...

Positive thoughts to anyone in or around Fort Hood...

This boils my blood so bad... so sad. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33678801/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/ http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5ihGepAkECGoDagETVBMpPb3w7Y3gD9BPJO100 In any event, I know I've seen many posts here from service members and I know I've particularly...

    Current Sammy Seasonal

Interesting BYO uses all wheat. While the Sam site does recommend "generous portions" of wheat, it also has pale 2-row in it... I would probably convert above recipe to all-grain, do it with 50/50 ratio of the base grains, and the specialty grains. Obviously the most important item here is you...

Need a little advice on crafting my beer resume

No problem man - also no problem with the job history thing, makes no difference to me and understand some people move around a lot... Just wanted to throw out some things to think about that might land you a position doing something beer-related. Glad they helped! As many have mentioned, not...

Need a little advice on crafting my beer resume

    1) I would definitely remove the objective... they may stop reading at that point assuming you have lack of attention to detail. It appears as you are applying for a brewing position, but gave them a resume that looks like either A) a template from the internet that you forgot to completely...

    Home Today

I need a day off... LOL. Can't wait to the holidays - thanks to the massive amounts of vacation I get (trust me I earn it) for being only in my 5th year of employment, I usually take the entire week of Thanksgiving off and the entire week between Christmas and new years... Can not wait. Get...

Need a little advice on crafting my beer resume

It's an interesting concept at least - but I think it might be a little overkill as arturo is pointing out. Maybe give a brief background of your brewing history (e.g. the 2-years at AG, built your own system, read countless books, etc.) on the resume and put some boilerplate statement that you...

Yeah, I hate when it gets dark at 5:30 - that really blows.

PA Alert - 60 gallon plastic conicals $125 ea

Wow, you can get a 15 gallon one from the link you produced for only like $118 (with stand). I may need to jump on that! EDIT: Then again, until you add shipping you are up to $160s, then you need someway to get fittings on it, which might not be too easy with 1 1/2" drain on the bottom? I...

How many trick or treaters have you had?

Our T or T was last Friday, the 30th. We got 22 kids in two hours... it was just about the right amount such that it wasn't annoying. And we had lots of leftover candy! :)

    Nashville Brew Pubs...

My friend lives in Nashville, but haven't been there since getting into the beer thing a few years ago. Anyway, google maps is your friend. I looked up the Ryman, searched nearby for "brew", and looks like you are in luck. About 3 breweries or beer-bars nearby... you can look into these...

US goes to war with Poland-Destroyer USS Ramage fires upon Polish port (accident)

Where did you find this article? Odd thing is I couldn't find it on any reputable news sites... I had to google it and the top find was an AR15 forum or something?! Ah well, if it's true (not really doubting you just found it odd I couldn't find more info someonewhere), I'm sure that seaman is...

My lunch is worse than your lunch.

I'm not a very healthy eater - I guess b/c I only weigh about 135-140 (5'6") I don't think its necessary - but I'm sure my arteries, etc. aren't pleased with me. For shiz and giggles - here's what I ate for lunch: 6" turkey/provolone sub with mayo only (no veggies), ziploc full of cheesecurls...

Haven't done extract in forever - critique ESB please...

I thought about the Vienna thing... and I might do a kind of, sort of mini-mash stovetop. I.e. get the right amount of water to 155F and "steep" for an hour in a grain bag. If I do I'll go to a full lb. of the stuff. If not, I agree with replacing it with 40L, but not sure I have more than...

Haven't done extract in forever - critique ESB please...

Yeah, cut back to .5oz along with .5oz EKG at 10. I was shooting for something that might be goose island honkers-ale-esque. Not a clone per se, but something in that style range - color, hop flavors, etc. I know their website says Styrian Goldings hops, but I didn't have any on hand...
