    DIY....keg?

TITTEL A bit expensive, but at least it's in Norway. Humlegården in Sweden is also pretty good, but I don't know anything about their shipping charges to Norway. You might want to check Danish Maltbazaren, they're prices are pretty good.

    Traditional Norway/Denmark recipes?

I found a Swedish recipe that sounds pretty good to me (I don't know anything about mead though). It's made by some guy who works as a rune carver, so I think he knows what he's talking about. I don't have time to translate the entire recipe right now so I used google. Let me know if there's...

    Injuries sustained while brewing

Burnt my hand once when I was sanitizing my bottles in the oven. Next time I'll leave them in the bottling bucket with some iodophor.

    How long does extract last?

I have a related question, I hope the OP doesn't mind. Is there any good way to store LME after you've opened the can?

best metal band of all time (metallica not allowed)

I've been listening a lot to Kaptain Sun lately. Swedish Death 'n' roll with doom and stone influences. Great stuff.

    Who is this guy??? lol

I agree. If someone watches their videos, brews "the modern way" and gets crappy beer, they might not want to continue homebrewing and tell their friends that homebrewed beer tastes like crap. The only thing we can do about it is make better videos.

What would you brew for 50th B-Day?

I'd go with a nice barley wine. Fits the season as well.

    I loooooooooooveee Bourbon

Haven't had more than a few sips of any whiskey since an "accident" I had three years ago involving too much JD, two young ladies on speed, vomiting, waking up in the middle of the night mumbling mathematical formulas and some dude calling me Batman and challenging me to a wrestling match. At...

    Class re-onion

Heh, I might have one in 2011 as well... It will be 10 years since I quit the Swedish equivalent of middle school.

Thanks! Sorry for not using the search function, I usually do but I forgot this time.

    Fermenting in PET bottle?

Okay, so I've got this large (1.38 gallons) PET soda bottle. Since homebrewing is an expensive hobby for a college student, I was just wondering if it would be possible to use this bottle for mini batches, trying out different dry hopping alternatives etc. What do you think?

Making Midas Touch - need substitute for Muscat grape concentrate

I have the same question. Couldn't find any european shops that sold it and ordering from the US isn't really an option.

how do you guys come up with names for your homebrews?

I named my first (and so far only) brew Gorilla. It's an APA, and "apa" means monkey or ape in Swedish. Haven't thought of a name for my next brew though.

    Medieval Burnt Mead!

I did some googling and found this thread with some more info: Brewing to the MAX! - making a Medieval Burnt Honey Mead The link to the original recipe is broken, but here I managed to find it: Le Menagier de Paris: Table of Contents (c)J. Hinson tr. It's under "Beverages for invalids". :D

    Swedish n00b

Thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can find an IBA and try it out before i brew one. I actually bought a bottle of Dark Hops from Beer Here while I was in Denmark, but the bag broke on the way home. :( Well, Systembolaget's assortment has improved a lot since the early 90's, but it still isn't...
