    Sourcing bulk cider in Southeast Michigan

    Where are you at? I am in Northern Macomb county and get my cider from Blake's. They also make thier own hard cider and wine... Northern Macomb may be your best bet there are at least 5 orchards within 20 miles from where I live.

    Adding yeast for bottling

    I am about to bottle a cider that I made, about 6-7 months ago. I am going to use a gallon of apple juice for primer. Is there still enough yeast to make the cider sparkiling? If I need to add yeast wjat type and how much? This will make a 5 gal batch. I used Wyeast cider yeast.

    It was the yeast. It sat around for a couple of months. I picked up some D47 from the brew store. It started to go in about 5 hours. The OG was 1.125.

    Well since you fermented your lager at warmer temps you are gonna have more of a California Ale. I would also suggest gently twisting the fermenter to stir up some yeast and that can get the yeast going again.
