    Show us your pipeline!

I fear the day where I will have to dump a batch. It's inevitable....almost a rite of passage if you will. "Butterbeer" sounds extremely scary to me.

    Show us your pipeline!

I need to purchase more fermenting vessels apparently. I only have 2 primaries and a secondary. That's a boat load of beer right there.

This thread just took an interesting turn......

Nice! Super jealous now. I need to get my kegerator going. Can't seem to make enough time....or MONEY!

Ha! If you're looking to down size you could certainly send some my way!! OT, but what happened with the batch you're gonna dump?

What is that, like 14 cases of beer?!?!

    Ready to bottle?

Bottling at this point is entirely up to you. With the steady readings, and the time line your beer should be ready. Hydrometers become easier to read with time. I struggled with my first couple batches, but now it is second nature. 16 days is plenty fermentation but a lot of people would argue...

    Show us your pipeline!

Nice. Wish I had a brew space that size. In my new place I will get the majority of a decent sized walk-in closet. It even has it's own A/C vent so this will help me out a lot. I almost didn't see the carboy in the background all snuggled up in a cardigan. :cross: I have to ask. What is with...

    Show us your pipeline!

I know the feeling. My pipeline is a few cases light after a big party, and some poker nights. I happen to be in the middle of a move so I had to take my stock pile out of my brew space. I figured it was a good time to snap a pic.

    Ready to bottle?

What type of beer was this? That is a pretty low OG. It sounds like you are ready to bottle though. There really is no set gravity to look for. Every beer has an estimated FG that varies from beer to beer, which if this was a kit you would find the estimated FG on the instruction sheet...

Give this thread a shot on your dextrose question. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/how-much-dextrose-bulk-prime-19-litres-5gal-us-beer-118786/ Also, over what period of time did you take your gravity readings?

    Fat Tire in Maryland

Dang, I guess I really never thought of a life without Fat Tire. I am certainly taking it for granted. Tonight I will buy a 12 pack and consume accordingly. Only after pouring a little out on the ground for my "Homies". Get it?

Help with Dry Stout / US-05 - Stuck?

I would definitely give it more time. Take another gravity reading in a few days, or if you can wait a week. If it still at 20 then it is either stuck or done depending on how you want to look at it.

    extract pumpkin ale

I definitely wouldn't steep the grains and the pumpkin together. The last pumpkin I did had me add it in the last 15 minutes of the boil. I can't imagine good things coming from doing it with your steeping grains at 155 degrees. You would probably lose a ton of pumpkin flavor as a result. Just...

    Kit or recipie?

Kit's are definitely the way to go when you are new to the hobby. Less room for error, and you will learn what different hops and different grains do for your beer. My 2nd brew was an Amber Ale. This went over really well. Not too dark, but definitely not light.

    OG on new IPA

Only time will tell with this one. You may have needed a starter, but it's possible you didn't. Let it ferment at least 3 weeks and then start taking the gravity. That will be the ultimate tell. IMO there is no point to pitch more yeast at this time. Now if you check gravity in a few weeks and...

Got free bottles to give away? Post 'em here!

I have roughly 5 dozen bombers I would be willing to part with. Picture only shows 4 boxes, but I have some more in my garage. They are mostly Stella and Heineken 22 oz bottles. They all still have the label and would need to be cleaned. Free to whoever needs them. PM me for info.

    Show us your pipeline!

I didn't see any threads that give the opportunity to post pictures of your pipeline. I doubt this thread will take off, but it would be fun to see what everyone else is packing...or something. :mug: This is my ever so slowly growing pipeline. Short boxes are cases of 12 oz bottles and the...
