Firestone Challenger VI liquid post - 5/8" MPT?

This item in your link will not fit your corny keg, unfortunately. This is intended to adapt a sanke coupler(beer thread) to ball lock qd.

    Co2 distributors....diy?

Also with integrated checks, prv, and rigorously tested for leaks before install. And, yeah, I also have no idea where the 5/16 convention for co2 line came from, but I stuck with it. In fact, on our coffee kegerator at work I used 3/8 lldpe with john guest fittings.

How can I put compressed air connector on keg posts?

Correct, not enough info. However, this is the type of fitting needed. I did not mean to imply that it would fit OP keg, but if you want to adapt keg post to flare or npt, this is the type of fitting you want.

    Small town brewery

I certainly do not want to discourage your efforts, and I do hope you and your team succeed. Make sure you do your homework, then go back and check your work, making the beer is just a small portion of what goes into operating a brewery. For instance, I am pretty sure TTB and local ABC will...

    Capping magnum bottles

You welcome. La Fin Du Monde is a great beer! I'm pretty sure that bottle will not accept a cap. When I first got into brewing I was all about belgians, in fact, I think out of my first twenty or so batches only 2 or 3 were not belgian-style ales. I wanted to make them as authentic as I could...

    3/16 ID Barbed Swivel Nut

You can simply unscrew the swivel flare from the qd.

    Capping magnum bottles

For this use, where the bottle can accept a crown cap, generally the cork(wine bottle cork) is flush and capped on top. But, you could use a cage and make it work, although not with the wine bottle cork. Most Belgians with the 'mushroom' cork won't accept a crown cap and must be caged.

    3/16 ID Barbed Swivel Nut

Two thumbs up for IPS, I deal with these guys a lot for home brewing and for my job. I also do this. For me, the extra security of the tighter fit on the barb is worth the extra work getting the line on the barb.

    Co2 distributors....diy?

If your end goal is simply a cheaper distributor than you could buy off the shelf, you may not get there. But, if you build it yourself because you want something unique that you can't find as easily, then absolutely you can make it with fittings. I wanted my gas distribution system a certain...

Anyone else go from carboys to keg fermentation

https://www.kegco.com/draft-beer-equipment/beer-kegs/home-brew-beer-kegs/bt15-5g/ This is the type I have. I just wanted the extra capacity over the kegmenter. Sabco, maybe other mfgrs too, offer a four inch triclamp to sanke spear port...

Regulator question - if the beer is already carbonated to a higher PSI...

Great news! I would hate to hear you had to rebuild a regulator after just a few months.

    Capping magnum bottles

Yep A properly fit cap will hold just fine without a cork.
  14. T

Regulator question - if the beer is already carbonated to a higher PSI...

Correct. That gauge can only 'feel' your keg if the check valve is open. The gauge is on the regulator to indicated desired output pressure setting and is not intended to be a keg pressure gauge. I believe that regulator has a Thomas type check valve, also known as a duckbill. The same type of...

Regulator question - if the beer is already carbonated to a higher PSI...

Sure, that is why we put a check valve in place. But, if it's there, it will 'check' liquid or gas.
  16. T

Regulator question - if the beer is already carbonated to a higher PSI...

Yes. Assuming there is not a check valve between the keg and regulator. If there is a check valve it will remain closed until pressure on the downstream side(keg) is equal to or less than the upstream side(regulator).

Cleaning New Spike CF10 Before 1st Use

RDWHAHB. your cf10 will come with instructions for cleaning before first use. Clean it first with dish detergent then clean with pbw, no need to fill it all the way with cleaner, do not use an abrasive pad or metal scrubber. I do not have(yet) a cip ball, I use starsan in a hand pump garden...

Anyone else go from carboys to keg fermentation

I fermented in sankes for years but hated cleaning it thru the spear port. Since you can't see thru it like a carboy I bought a borescope camera to see if it is clean. After finally having enough of that, I bought a .5bbl brite tank with 4inch tri-clamp top similar to the kegmenter. It is much...
