    If you have enough to spare and want to possibly increase your chances, why not enter the beer in both categories? Just a thought.

    What kind of sugar do you use for fermentation? :)

    Brewed a Belgian ale this morning. Used a pound of dememera sugar in the brew. Never used it before and read about it in the latest issue of BYO and in Gordon Strong's book.

    Spiedel Fermenter question.

    I received the same email this morning at a little past 8am (eastern time). Went online and ordered and received confirmation. About 2 or 2 1/2 hours later went back to the More Beer site and noticed it said out of stock. When I was told they sell out fast, they weren't exaggerating!

    Google searches on beer topics/homebrew kept coming up with HomeBrewTalk as a common site. Decided after reading some of the posts, I would join the fun and take in the knowledge.
