More carbonation makes a thin body feel better. Just drink bud light and see what I mean.

If you want to insulate the bottom half assed, just set it on a block of wood. Wood is a great insulator

Unless you are making 1/2 bbl batches, that seems like a waste of money. 1 pack is plenty. Hell, I only use one pack of dry lager yeast when I make a lager. No starter, no rehydrating, no off flavors as long as my temperature is in check.

This version is damn good. This is going in a competition in a month. If you want a more roasty taste, bump up the black malt or change the dark/pale chocolate ratio. If you want it more like a hershey's bar, add a splash of vanilla.

Some tank valves will leak slowly if you don't open the valve to 100% so it sits against the upper seal. We had a large oxygen bottle at work go empty in a week because it was only halfway open. Turns out the seal was faulty according to the welding supplier that inspected it.
