Good rinse, then sanitize bottles OK?

Yeah. There is really no reason to do more than a couple rinse-shake-repeats.

    Ever add water after fermentation?

I guess I was thinking it would be a more efficient way to do it, which is why large companies would do it that way.

    Ever add water after fermentation?

I have 5 glass carboys, and no more space.

    Ever add water after fermentation?

If you added water before bottling the carbonation wouldn't be off.

    Ever add water after fermentation?

I have heard that the "big guys" do it that way. I was wondering if anybody has tried it, and to what degree of success? I was thinking about making a big DIPA around 10% abv, and then adding water at bottling time to make 10 gallons at 5% abv. If for no other reason, than to make 10gal of...

    Reusing bottles

If you think about it, the process of bottling, and shipping bottles of beer from the brewery is hardest on the bottles. Once they are in the hands of a homebrewer they spend most of the time sitting around.

    Containers for bottled beer...

do bombers fit in milk crates?

Maybe the worst ever..... (label removal)

It isn't a lie. UV light reacts with alpha acids (hops) to create a skunk smell.

How long to sanitize by boiling?

I do about a minute for each. I would be interested to hear a reason why it would take any longer than that.

Maybe the worst ever..... (label removal)

Sounds like Southern Tier. I just leave the labels on and those are the ones I give away, and don't care if I get back.

What do you use your hydrometer in?

I bought a 2 piece one, after using the tube the hydro came in, and the thief. It's easy to clean, and easier to drink out of. http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/breakdown-test-jar.html

    Corny Keg on the course

Most courses have rules against bringing your own beer.

    Brewpub or Retail only?

Selling beer isn't about beer. It's about marketing.

    I HATE bottling!!

I do the dishwasher too. I just bottled a batch in about 30 minutes. It seems many people on this board feel they are being "more sanitary," or "better" if they use a longer, or more complicated process.

Question: I've gone to all grain shall I ever go back?

I made an extract batch once while my kids were napping. Total time was 2:10. 2 weeks ago I made 2 extract batches (15 gallons) during the bears game.

My FIRST brew ever isn't done and already on the SECOND brew!!!

That is going to be a very weak beer. It's not too late to add more fermentables.

    What’s your rhythm – brewing/bottling/storing?

I have 4 fermenters. I brew 20 gallons once a month. I leave them for about 4 weeks in primary, then bottle a 5 gallon batch a day (in bombers) near the end of the month. I did this after many other variations, and like this way best. You only have to clean up once. It's also good in winter...

Can I cool my wort with ice?

I have done it also, with no noticeable differences. I'm sure it has everything to do with your ice/water quality.
