    Forgot to take gravity reading

    Hi, it was an all grain brew, and it was really raining today so I don't think there would have been that much evaporation. It was not topped off either. Is there a way to call the alc level without having OG and FG.

    Ok, so i plugged it into a bitterness calculator and this is what i got. I am going to put 50g SAAZ 4.5 at 60 min 25g SAAZ 4.5 at 15 min 25g SAAZ at 3 min ibu - 45.25 instead of 100 g SAAZ 3.2 at 60 min 25g SAAZ 3.2 at 15 min 25g SAAZ 3.2 at 10 min ibu 45.5 Is that right. Does that sound...

    Hi I am in the middle of a brew of pilsner using just SAAZ hops. First thing is i need more than 100 g and only have 100 grams, and receipe says use SAAZ 3.2 AA, but i have 4.5. Additions are at 100 g at 60min 25 g at 15min 25 g at 3 min What is the difference between 3.2 and 4.5

    Cold crashing and Viable yeast

    Thanks to all for the responses. So this status is that i bottled my ale on Tuesday night, after 3 days of cold crashing at about 4 degrees celcuis. so it fermented for only 7 days, and am a little worried about the yeast "cleaning up". I think i should have only cold crashed at day 13...

    Cold crashing and Viable yeast

    Hi All I am a new brewer and have had an APA fermenting for the last 7 days. OG was 1.054 and 7 days in Gravity is 1.010. I have been advised to cold crash it now for 7 days then bottle it. My worry is will i have enough viable yeast for bottle conditioning if I cold crash for that long...
