They are at my parents place and she tries to take care of them and it's hard for me to get over there all the time. They are growing great but i need some...

    Questionable chamber?

So I want to make my first mead but don't want to make 5 gallons of it with my brew kit. I have a glass Oberwise gallon milk jug. Would that work or should I just get a gallon carboy? Thanks

    Headed East; Beer Recommendations please.

Some states don't allow the sale of cold beer. In Chicago you can. Over the boarder in Indy you have to buy cold.

    Homebrewer's Lament

When I had bacterial pneumonia I couldn't drink for 3 weeks because of the meds. Then I drank for a week before suffering a major concussion. Didn't drink for 2.5 months after that because of those crazy meds. Worst 4 months ever! (Birthday and St. Patty's Day)

Just bottled this kit a few weeks ago. What I did was 2 30oz of pumpkin purée and 1 30oz pumpkin pie mix. Did 30oz during steep. Then added the ret with 5min left but I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I did primary for 2 weeks and secondary for 2 then bottled. Do the secondary for at...

    Pumpkin Ale

I would like it like that, but mine has sediment in my bottles and that's why I think I should have racked longer...

    Pumpkin Ale

Yeah... I should have racked it minimum a month to fully clear. Rookie mistake! Now I know for next time and hopefully this will help others not make the same mistake I did

    Pumpkin Ale

I have noticed that there is a sediment issue. I made sure not to get any into the bottling bucket. Does anyone know why?

    Pumpkin Ale

    Getting ready for bottling day.

Make sure it's a food grade bucket. If it doesn't say then it's not! Be careful of you clean them also so you don't scratch the sides. Sure fired way to begin bacteria growth later on. But yes bottling bucket and wand are your best bet

    Getting ready for bottling day.

Run to lowes or home depot and pick up a food grade 5g bucket. Make your transfer as you add your priming sugar. Then clean out your bottle bucket and transfer again which will mix up the sugar better. Extra step but mixes everything well and the buckets are cheap.
