    Need a new plan. Help!

So the electric company won't run a new service into my garage (long story) so I still want to go with a Kal clone but not sure how to set it up with 3- 110v circuits. I was thinking about putting 2 110v elements in both the boil and HLT and running them one at a time and using the other 110 for...

    HERMS coil

Sounds promising. Now if I can just find out if he can make the end pieces I need.

So where are all of these cheap spa panels in Canada?

Yep. I know they are like $60 for 30 amp and $80 for a 50 amp here in Indiana.

    HERMS coil

I agree with the "reviews" comment. For all I know (and NOT saying he would/is)it could be family members or co-workers. I'd take the advice from people on the site before anyone's opinion on the vendors website.

So where are all of these cheap spa panels in Canada?

Sounds like you need some of your southern friends to send you one

    Keg polishing

Guess that explains why the #5 didn't take many swirl marks out even though I polished them for hours. Ill go to the #1 and probably do a tad better. Thanks

    Keg polishing

I read the sticky on keg polishing but I'm a little confused about the polishing compound. I read in the sticky that #5 was more abrasive than #1 but then I read somewhere else it was opposite. Can anyone clarify this?

    good ways to coil stainless

Are there any good ways out there to coil stainless tubing without kinking it? I haven't tried yet but I have mine on the way and I'd rather not kink it and have to do it over.

    Stirplate

Ok so I'm kinda new to all this but I'm using some Nottingham yeast and it says to rehydrate in 4 oz of water. Are people using a stir plate with this small amount of liquid or are they just adding wort to the flask after the yeast is hydrated?

    Insulating MLT

What is everyone using to insulate sanke kegs that are used as MLT?

    Element help

I know this is probably a hard question to answer as it probably has lots of variables but if I am using a 5500 watt uldw element in a uninsulated keggle, how fast should I expect to get the wort/MLT water to a boil? Is this one element going to be overpowered if I mainly do 5 gallon batches or...

    Help with electric question

Nope. I may put a fridge out there and possibly a dorm fridge for a fermentation chamber but that would be it. Maybe 4 light sockets.

    Help with electric question

Adam, Thanks. My entire house is running on a 100 amp service so I didn't think I would need more than that but I figured I better as people who know instead of assuming. I think we all know where that gets us.

    Help with electric question

Ok, I'm going to start my electric build but thinking about starting out with the Brutus 20 clone (mainly due to being in a small house). My question is, I'm going to have new electric service installed in my garage just for my brew set up. I initially thought I'd need a 200amp service but now...

Weldless Fittings vs. Welded Fittings for Keggles

I don't even think the BrewToys.Net site is up anymore unless they moved it.

Looking for one of P-J's designs

Andrew, Why not just use the combination PID/Timer from Auber (SWA-24X1) and save yourself about $30?

    Apple juice concentrate

Do you have to use preservative free concentrate to back sweeten in your kegging your cider?

    Fermentation/lager chamber

Have you finished this build yet? I was wondering the same thing about a window A/C unit.

    Fermentation chamber

Just trying to get an idea of the size of a window AC unit I'd need to keep a 4'w x 5'h x 3'd fermentation chamber cool. I'd love to be able to lager in it as we'll but don't know if this will be possible.
