Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Have you tried e-mailing them about it? If you let them know that you want a 20G pot, but that you really want an eBIAB system and that you were willing to wait on it, they might let you know and maybe even give you a time frame . Worth a shot. Couldn't hurt.

    NLR eBIAB Brewery Done!

that is one nice setup and the video was great. Thanks for sharing it. Damn...wish houses in Dallas had basements so I could build a room like that.

    Is electric worth it?

No, but growing up in Corpus, I can tell you it would be a big advantage of not having to brew outside during the summer months.

Amerikanisch Pale Ale - Tips and Advice

You still haven't brewed this? Bummer. The Chinook and Cascade should work out well. Since you started this topic, I've brewed the WGD Light (which is a Pale Ale) from the Brooklyn Beer Shop Beer Making Book twice and it uses .1oz Chinook at boil, .1 oz Cascade at 30 and .05oz Cascade at 5...

    Fatherhood And Brewing

My son will turn 3 in December and my brewing habits have changed. Before, I'd just brew whenever I felt like it, not now. It takes some planning. After he was first born, I took some time off. First 6 to 8 months, there was no sleeping, so when he napped, the last thing I wanted to do was...

    Upgrade Justification

If you are happy with the size batches you are doing or just want to step up to 2.5g batches, why don't you just buy a 5 gallon kettle? Then go get yourself a mini fridge or freezer and an Inkbird controller to control it. Temp control is going to be your number one upgrade. When I first got...

    My homemade fermentation chamber

What if you added a fan to aid in circulating the cold air from the top to the bottom and back up again?

    Strike water too high?

Have you tried http://www.biabcalculator.com/? I've had good luck using it since I switched over to BIAB. Let you customize a lot of stuff like pot size, grain bill, grain temp, trub loss, etc.

    Small Batch Bourbon Barrel Porter

One of the first ten batches of beer I made (probably the first 5) was NB Bourbon Barrel Porter. Even with all the noob mistakes I probably made, no fermentation temp control although I brewed it in the winter so the room I kept it in was cold, and other stuff, it came out surprisingly good...

    Fermentation stuck?

We all seemed to skip over the part "and no carbonation at all" There won't be any carbonation in your fermenter. It's not till after you've added priming sugar, bottled it and the yeast have started using up that priming sugar and produced CO2, will you see any carbonation, so don't worry about...

    Fermentation stuck?

Leave it alone. Let all the yeasties do their thing. Its natural for the krausen to drop off and your gravity will probably fall some more. The yeast still need time to work on it and to do other things. I don't even check on my beer for 3 weeks. Even if your gravity had stabilized at 5 days...

    First Bottling Today -- Thoughts

Sounds like you had a pretty successful bottling day. Good job. They always say you'll get about 2 cases of beer from a 5 gallon batch, but it doesn't usually happen. I've done all size batches from 1 gallon to 2 to 3 to 5 and in my experience, I generally get about 9 gallons a bottle. So 44...

Is a 60-minute boil really necessary?

Look up 15 minute cascade pale ale. Lots have people have tried it and it seems like it gets good feedback. I brewed it awhile back and am planning on bottling it this weekend.
