    11.2oz vs. 12oz

Take hold of a cold home brew and relax man. Why would anyone complain getting more beer so kudos for Brooklyn Brewery for shipping 12oz overseas? 750ml is 25.36oz so again why would anyone complain getting more beer? I do not think you will find such a person here. I just used the auto...

    11.2oz vs. 12oz

They bottle in ml. If you enter a foreign market for profit you customize your product for that market for maximum traction. Ask Mercedes or any other foreign vehicle manufacturer. If they can change something as complex as glass compounds and emission systems to name a few I am sure foreign...

    11.2oz vs. 12oz

I agree. I love Belgian Palm but also drink commercial beer for the bottles so Palm is out at 11.2oz Silly really. I am now so hooked on these: Franziskaner Weissbier Spaten Optimator Doppelbock and yes they are in 12oz bottles. Can I get a amen?

New Rules for AHA Members- what do you think?

dragonbreath11 you could have played it the other way (for a second I thought you did) and said.... Aprils fool!

My Stirplate... Cheap and Easy Build...

Whatever makes it work but controlling the speed by exchanging wall warts is not the way to do it. Build a correct speed controller and you can make the stir bar do a pirouette on command. Just saying.

Bye my stirbar for at least 4 weeks

Although I reminded myself 20 times during my brew session yesterday (Belgian Wit Ale aka no hoe in das gaarden) not to pitch the stirbar with my yeast I did anyway. Also dropped my glass thermometer right at the end. Time to invest in double of all these essential items I guess. Sadly I cannot...

    Disappointed with my brew

I am a new brewer with a massive three brews under my belt that is two in bottles and one in the secondary. The first brew was Brewers Best continental pilsner and it came out ok. The second was from my LHBS a Belgian Blonde Ale. The brew went well other than steeping temperature temporarily...

    Sulphiter/Vinator Help

Do not cut the spring! Really force and twist it up with a screwing motion into the white tip. It will then connect to the red base without kinking the spring and work as it should.

More than 1 vial for starter?

What do you recommend for pitching temps?

More than 1 vial for starter?

I pitched at about 60F. My starter was 5 days old. 2 days at room temp and 3 days in fridge then back to room temp and pitch.

More than 1 vial for starter?

Mr. Malty also called for a two vile starter on my last lager. The yeast was one month past expiry date. It blew the lid off my primary and i could not close it for eight hours. Sorry for the large image.

    Ranco needs calibration??

I have a chest freezer with a ranco controller for lagering. It is set to stay between 35F and 42F and seemingly that is what it does by its digital readout but I added a small freestanding freezer thermometer today and it shows about 6F colder than the ranco shows. The ranco sensor is loosely...
