    Finding very slow gas leak

I recently installed a 3 way gas manifold to take my keezer from 1 to 3 taps. I have installed a ball-lock gas post on the manifold so I can remove my tank and regulator and use them for closed transfers, purging kegs, etc. I initially sprayed all fittings, and joints with starsan to check...

    Beer Clarity Issue

I do not presently have a means of testing pH, and just rely on bru'n'water. Is high pH something that can cause a clarity issue in the finished beer? This is what I've been trying to establish before taking the plunge and buying a meter.

    Beer Clarity Issue

Thanks for the reply, I have a 55k BTU propane burner, and maintain a reasonably vigorous boil. I have a DIY chiller that drops the wort to room temperature in about 15-20 minutes depending on time of year. Other than using a hop spider (which I often only use for flavour and aroma hops), I...

    Beer Clarity Issue

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered. I've been having issues with the clarity of beers I've brewed recently, and inconsistencies in clarity between batches that I'm scratching my head over. I'm hoping someone here can give me some guidance on what in my process might be leading...

Home Brew Stores in Halifax, NS, Canada

Hi folks, I might be moving to Halifax in the next year, and am visiting the city this coming week. Does anyone know of a LHBS that sells all grain supplies? It's on my list of things to check out in the city.

    Looking for a hefenwisen kit

It's spelled hefeweizen, so that may aid in your search. From what little recipe they give their "weizenbier" looks like its probably a hefe' depending on the yeast in the kit.

    mildew smell/gym sock taste

by braided hose do you mean it is covered in a steel braid? I use clear hose so I can see the insides to make sure they are clean, also after each time i use my racking cane, syphon and hoses I back flush them with sanitizer as in the past I have had equipment mold from not being properly cleaned.

    Who Brewed beer for Christmas!?

My brew-buddies and I have made a hogmanale for New Years. Hogmanay is the scots name for the last day of the year, and the associated party. Its based on the malt from an amber we've done in the past, with the hops way scaled back, beefed up with molasses and spiced with chai tea, cloves and...

    Water Problem, need help!

A couple friends and I are combining and scaling up our brewing operations in order to make some more interesting product (so far we've only made kit beers, which have turned our well as they are all that is available in a 3 hour drive). For the kit's we've just used RO water, but we know thats...
