    3rd brew day.

    Like already said you let the boiling water cool down before you rehydrated the yeast correct? If not you prob killed the yeast and need to repitch. I usually cool mine down to 85-90 F before i put yeast in to rehydrate.

    I pitched dry yeast US05 about 16 hrs ago and I know some got stuck to the neck of the carboy it's what tan little specks so I left it alone but now it looks kind of whitish I sanitized everything really good should I leave this alone or wipe it out will the yeast specks turn into a bad mold intime

    I brewed a German alt today pitched US05 dry not hydrated on top after aerating after pitching I swirled the carboy around a few times and it looks like some of the yeast is in a clump will it be ok I pitched at 70 F

    goto the local pets mart or pet supply store and buy a stick on aquarium thermometer there like 3-4 bucks solves your problem
