I don't live on base anymore. I rent a house now but as long as you were 21 I don't remember any rules that would keep you from fermenting in your dorm/barrack and boiling in the common room kitchen. You'd probably have to stick to extract though. Pretty sure propane tanks aren't allowed.

I found these neat little fans for only $3.60 at Wal-Mart by the space heaters. They're selling them for cheap since winter is coming. I was going to use a computer fan also but these look better, are already wired, and cheaper than the computer fan. Check out your walmart maybe they got em too.

Those aren't lamps on the lid. They're little fans to circulate the air inside the freezer. I'm using a dual stage controller from morebeer.com.

You can store it not hooked up to the tank. Just make sure you purge all the oxygen out.

I always thought they were aluminum until I started brewing. If you know someone that works with metal they'll be able to scratch it and tell if It's aluminum or stainless.

Keezer temps can be controlled by a temperature controller. I bought mine off morebeer.com its one that can operate the freezer to cool and can operate a heating element within the freezer to heat. I've dumped one and once I get CO2 I'll know if I have to dump another. Both because of cidery taste. I hate dumping beer especially when what causes cidery tastes could be a number of things.

Good call. I wrote in silver sharpie on my kegs a G on the gas side and a B on the beer side.

All you need is an adjustable wrench to take the keg connections off from there its easy to clean. Just be careful they sometimes have small parts that can be lost or if your not paying attention when taking it apart you wont remember how it goes back together.

I've actually heard of people using ky jelly. But thinking about it keg lube is a lot greasier than ky. So I'm not sure. Maybe I was just being bs'd.
