Delaware Everything must go! (Kettle/Burner, Kegs, Mash tun, etc)

Want to sell as a lot and don't want to ship? Well let me be "that guy" and say if you you get to the point where you'd consider shipping the regulator and manifold, I'd be interested. Otherwise consider this a free bump.

    KBS Clone for Extract Brewer

DromJohn - Continue to appreciate your input. Hopefully last question. This calls for an infusion mash. I was only planning to steep the grains. Is the 60 minute time still applicable? Thanks.

    KBS Clone for Extract Brewer

Can anyone comment on the hop additions? It says 90 minute boil so the first addition is 30 minutes in? Just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly.

    KBS Clone for Extract Brewer

DromJohn - Thanks for the reply. I read the same online regarding the .75 multiplier I just wasn't sure what impacts there would be going from grain to extract e.g. if I should be adjusting steeping grains or hops.

Tap A Draft Bottles and Accessories

As the title says. I know TAD is a stepping stone for a lot of people so I'm thinking there might be some equipment out there that isn't getting used. Thought I'd try this before buying all new. Thanks.

    Splitting 5 gallon batch (Keg & ?)

I brew with a friend and we (like many) are sick of bottling. I was considering investing in a kegging system but there doesn't seem to be a reasonable way to give him his half that will 1) Last and 2) Not involve him also having to buy a full keg system. Has anyone had success with any of...

    Oatmeal Stout - Recipe Help

I am about to embark on my 6th brew day. I purchased Midwest Supplies Oatmeal Stout Extract Recipe Kit when they had one of their many sales. Now reading the reviews it seems a lot of people think this recipe is a little thin. So I went to the AIH website and I see their oatmeal stout recipe is...

    Headspace and vanilla addition

I currently have an imperial stout fermenting. I wanted to experiment with this batch so I split the 5 gallon batch into 3x one gallon jugs and left the ~2.5 remaining gallons in a 6.5 gallon brew bucket. Now to my questions: 1. Is 2.5 gallons in a 6.5 gallon bucket too much headspace? My...

    First Beer-splosion

I think I will mark my jug next time to make sure I leave enough. Is the 1/5 - 1/4 a general rule or is that specific to big beers? Your comment about the restrictor on the air lock has me scared. I hope I don't wake up to another mess! What is its original purpose?

    First Beer-splosion

Haven't posted here much so thought I'd share today's happenings. My buddy and I brewed an imperial stout Friday night. This is our third beer and we decided we would separate it out into 4 batches to experiment with some different post fermentation ideas. We tried to leave some space for...

Oberon Clone - Late Addition? Hops Reductions?

Thanks for the input. We already had the ingredients when I posted this so no chance to change. As you said this will probably be a recipe we come back to so good to have some ideas for improvement. We brewed this over the weekend and did roughly 70% late addition. The color looked pretty good...
