I brewed a 2 gallon batch of this and was sorely disappointed in it. The beer was fine but the spice mixture ruined it. Scaled it down to correct ratio, just wasn't good at all.

I didn't necessarily follow any particular recipe, just a bunch of marris otter, white wheat, vienna, c10, malto dextrin, and a boat load of citra & mosiac at 10 min, 5 min, 1 min, & then in a whirlpool. Giving off some unreal aromas already, can't wait to get this one dry hopped and kegged.

Did you cut both ends off of the hose?

When this has happened I guess I haven't taken a accurate reading of my grain temp. I do wait for the temp to come down some, but then when it gets to what I think is the right temp for dumping the grain, it doesn't seem to get down to what I expected.

I've not had any noticeable issues with this yet, but every time I brew I find myself wondering if it could impact the fermentability of the mash. Sometimes I get my strike water too hot and the temp is around 160 or 165 for the first 5 - 10 mins of the mash before I can get it back down...
