    Did I ruin my beer?

It's ruined. Please bottle it and send it all to me for proper disposal. And don't let it happen again. In all seriousness, there is probably more mouse fecal matter in the grain you used than saliva in your beer.

So... my dog likes my amber ale.

Sometimes at night I like to read while laying on my living room rug. Well, I had a pint of a homebrewed amber ale lying beside me. Went to check on my son, who was asleep in his crib. When I came back, Scout (my Akita) had just finished it for me. He didn't even spill any. Cheers Scout!!!!

Secondary Fermentation - To Rack or Not to Rack

After reading this thread, I'm gonna try the extended primary fermentation. I've been racking into a carboy after 8-10 days cuz thats what they told me to do at my LHBS 2 years ago when I started. I wish I had read this thread a few days ago, I just racked my first AG batch to the secondary...

Should I trust Beer Tools Pro

So I'm ready for my first AG 5gal batch. I have all my equip, gone through the calculations for water and temp using beer tools pro. I've been doing extract and partial grain for about 2 years and I'm ready to "create" my own beer. I am going to buy some grain in bulk(50lbs) i am thinking...

Poured through a sanitized colander and then a stirred pretty good with a sanitized whisk. It had about 2inches of foam by the time I was done.

    First time reusing yeast

I brewed a Pale ale about a week ago, then yesterday transferred it to a secondary while I was brewing an amber ale. I poured the Amber ale wort on the old yeast cake and within 3 hours it was bubbling away. It took off like crazy kept going for 22 hours!! I think the CO2 depleted the O2 in...
